Team Green Avengers and their main breeder, Subcool, are known in the cannabis seed community as good guys: honest about their strains and quick to give customer support when its needed. They’re also known for their interesting strains, and Vortex is no different in that regard. As a mix of Apollo 13 and Space Queen via Querkle, this is one of those plants that manages both quality and quantity at the same time.
Like most of us, Vortex is happiest in a warmer climate and doesn’t mind whether it’s indoors or outdoors. With just a little convincing, it can be grown well in ScrOG set ups, and takes well to both hydro and soil grows, though you should be careful of mold developing in their hotter environment. This is a very stable sativa dominant hybrid, and gives great looking plants that should be forced to flower after 60 days and harvested 60 days after that.
Subcool says that the aroma is one of rotten fruit and baby poo, which doesn’t exactly sound appealing, but it seems as if Vortex is the durian of the weed world: disgusting to smell but delicious to taste. It also has the added bonus of getting you totally baked off your face; no matter how illegal durian is in public places, I don’t imagine that eating too much would leave you tripping and smiling like a demon.
