This wider catalog shows that Jaime did not view medical breeding as the removal of aroma or enjoyment from cannabis. Resin Seeds continued selecting for terpene intensity, resin, flower quality, and recognizable effects while adding cannabinoid ratio as another measurable trait. Cannatonic succeeded partly because it remained flavorful and cultivatable rather than resembling low-resin industrial hemp. The company showed that CBD-rich drug-type cannabis could retain premium-flower complexity.

Transparency and Responsible Expectations

Resin Seeds deserves credit for clarifying Cannatonic’s pedigree over time. Older commercial descriptions sometimes identified the line as MK Ultra crossed with G13 Haze, but the company now attributes it to the Reina Madre, Blue Heaven, and NYC Diesel collaboration with Reggae Seeds. Cannabis history frequently changes as breeders compare memories, records, and surviving plants. A credible account should preserve those revisions instead of repeating the most familiar version solely because it appears on many websites.

The company’s Cannatonic data also warns against treating a strain name as a chemical guarantee. Its listed range includes strongly THC-dominant, balanced, and strongly CBD-dominant plants. Environment can influence total cannabinoid concentration, but inherited synthase genetics strongly shape the ratio. Growers, patients, extractors, and regulated producers therefore need results from the specific plant or batch involved, especially when intoxication or legal THC limits matter.
