Music and cannabis have shared a particularly close relationship throughout reggae history, but few cultivars have been developed with direct input from a musician whose name they carry. Don Carlos emerged from a collaboration between Humboldt Seed Company and the…
Caribbean Queen emerged from an unusual breeding objective: reconnect modern cannabis cultivation with the tropical sativa genetics that shaped generations of Caribbean marijuana culture. Rather than developing another compact California hybrid with an exotic name, Humboldt Seed Company collaborated with…
California Haze takes the soaring architecture and cerebral personality associated with old Haze cannabis and reshapes those traits for a modern garden. Humboldt Seed Company bred the current line from California Haze, Original Haze, and Arcata Trainwreck, selecting for a…
Bigfoot Glue was developed around one of the most recognizable qualities in modern cannabis: extreme resin production. Humboldt Seed Company describes mature flowers as large, heavily frosted, and sticky enough to coat trimming scissors during harvest. The plant pairs that…
Banana Melt approaches tropical cannabis from a different direction than the heavy Banana OG hybrids that have become common in modern dispensaries. Humboldt Seed Company built this cultivar around a worked Banana Melt Bx3 line, then brought Blue Dream and…
Few modern cannabis strains reach harvest as quickly as Apple Blossom without behaving like an autoflower. Humboldt Seed Company created this photoperiod strain by bringing together Blueberry Muffin and Dream Queen, two of its best-known early-finishing cultivars, then selecting heavily…
Caramel Cream earned its place in Humboldt Seed Company’s catalog by surviving one of the breeder’s largest selection projects. During the 2018 Phenotype Mega-Hunt, more than 10,000 cannabis plants were evaluated for growth, flower structure, potency, resilience, and aroma. Plenty…
Mint Jelly represents Humboldt Seed Company’s effort to erase one of the old compromises associated with autoflowering cannabis. Earlier automatic varieties were often valued for speed and simplicity but accepted as weaker in flavor, potency, resin, or flower structure than…
Humboldt Headband takes one of the West Coast’s most recognizable cannabis names and pushes it deeper into Northern California OG territory. Humboldt Seed Company built the cultivar from Humboldt OG crossed with Headband, producing a compact, indica-dominant plant with dense…
Gazzurple was developed around a straightforward breeding target that Humboldt Seed Company described in equally direct terms: purple gas. Rather than settling for color without character or fuel without visual appeal, the breeder worked the line until both traits became…
Collie Man Kush was not created by chasing the dessert flavors that dominated much of modern California breeding. Humboldt Seed Company built the cultivar around fuel, Kush, and the preferences of Slightly Stoopid frontman Miles Doughty, producing an OG-heavy marijuana…
Blueberry Honey emerged from Humboldt Seed Company’s 2025 phenotype hunt with a combination that is becoming increasingly difficult to achieve in modern cannabis: a flavor that lives up to its name without feeling exaggerated or artificial. Instead of sharp blueberry…
