Origins: White Widow x American indica
Flowering: 60-70 days
Harvest: October
Nirvana bills its Snow White strain as a beautiful plant to watch grow. Depending on the light, she reaches 30-36 inches of height in a pleasing, compact bonsai spruce shape. Resin appears on the leaves just two weeks into flowering. Her dark jade pigment shows off the daily accumulation of frost as she is slowly overwhelmed by massive, sugar-coated bud production. Snow White is a variety for those seeking easy indoor cultivation, great yields, and a stone that sedates without being draining.
Snow White performs best in a sea of green hydro system. Soil cultivation is possible but will mean a less spectacular yield. Snow White shows sex slowly but flowers with stability and has very few incidences of hermaphroditism. Though not skunky, the odor can be powerful and medicinal. She shows only moderate resin early on, but truly earns her name during the last two weeks of flowering with an almost overnight coating of snow. Some growers extend her cycle an extra week for more resin production. Yields of 450 grams per square meter in a sea of green under a 600-watt lamp are very common.
Snow White’s palate suggests fresh, upturned soil mixed with a medicinal smell that learns toward turpentine in astringency. Like her White Widow mother, Snow White offers a gentle and mind/body balanced high, compatible with a restaurant meal and a movie. Her father, a nameless indica from Las Vegas growers, nudges the high toward sedation. But the kiss of Snow White doesn’t drop smokers to the floor and it doesn’t get boring, either. Snow White will please medicinal users and other routine smokers who need relaxation without narcosis.
