Power Plant
Sativa 80 / Indica 20
Origins: South African strains
Flowering: 56-63 days
Harvest: lateOctober
Power Plant derives from dagga, the sativa-dominant pot grown in South Africa and its neighboring countries. South African varieties are famous for their fast growth and early finish, in contrast to the slow growing season required by most tropical sativas. Power Plant develops almost visibly, finishing before Halloween outdoors in the Netherlands and even sooner in the semi-arid, Mediterranean climates like Spain. This is a plant for growers who want strong sativa, ASAP.
Flexible and adaptive, Power Plant grows well indoors, whether in soil or hydro, multi-branched or in a sea of green. If pruned, she develops multiple compact buds that measure around 15 centimeters (6 inches) long. If she isn’t pruned, she grows three or four big 20-centimeter (8 inch) buds and lots of smaller popcorn. Power Plant’s foliage stays olive green with thin, seven-point leaves. Her strong, pungent smell may require odor control in regions where inconspicuousness is a must. She prefers an easy hand with fertilization, and her rapid growth is very uniform: plants finish at an even 70cm indoors (just over 2 feet), or 100 cm (3 feet) outdoors.
This power sativa’s smoke tastes sharp and lights up the neural networks after a few hits. Many sativa highs can be sustained during a serious working day, but Power Plant may prove too strong for work settings. Instead, she’s rocket fuel for a launch at 4:20 pm or later. With an uplifting, mostly mental high, Power Plant is quite compatible with dinner and freewheeling conversation; however, many sativa fans will also enjoy tripping out with a few tokes of this variety and a sketchbook or an interactive game.
