Though they might sound as if they’re from beyond the Iron Curtain, Redstar Farms are actually a group of veterans in California who’ve formed their own collective to produce quality medicinal marijuana strains. They created Laughing Man 3 years ago, taking a fantastic OG Kush plant and a Pre-98 Bubba Kush as their breeding stock.

Laughing Man can be grown both indoors and outdoors, although the breeder prefers to grow his crop indoors at a temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. As the plants get closer to harvest, drop temperatures of your grow room to around 64 degrees for the best results. With a height of about 3 feet it is suitable for both ScrOG and SOG techniques, and is as happy in hydro as it is in soil. However, the breeder does recommend Canna nutrients for this variety, and he waters every other day with tea mixes in between feedings. The plant thrives on more feeding closer to harvest. A breeder’s tip is to keep the pH between 5.5 and 6.0 in the vegetative stage and 6.0 and 6.6 in the flowering stage – and take off all the extra branches as it grows up to get better quality pot.
