Kushage
Sativa 60 / Indica 40
Origins: OG Kush x S.A.G.E.
Flowering: 75 days
Harvest: mid November
The parentage of Kushage, OG Kush x S.A.G.E., symbolizes a new era: old-school haze flavors, coupled with new world genetics. This indica/sativa hybrid offers redilient, versatile indica growth and an uplifting haze high. Growers will find Kushage easy, hardy, and good candidate for cloning success – a plant for beginners who want old-pro quality.
This plant does amazingly well in places that are prone to powdery mildew. Just like her mother, she will be the last plant in the room to go down if left unwatered. When forced to flower at one foot, Kushage will finish at 4.5 to 5 feet. In sea of green gardens, plants deliver 25-40 grams each. In one-gallon buckets, the yields per plant can increase up to 2 ounces. Larger plants in 5-gallon buckets produce 55-100 g. When grown indoors, Kushage finishes in 10-11 weeks. TH Seeds recommends hydro methods for biggest yield, or soil for the most succulent flavors. Like many mindful cultivators, TH Seeds recommends organic fertilizers for all gardeners.
Kushage starts off very straight, branches a lot, and tends to lean as she matures. It’s a good idea to cut off the lower third of her branches to let the others breathe. Her first leaves are very wide, but subsequent leaves skinny up as the plant grows. They are waxy, and much darker than her buds, which are lime green, resembling her S.A.G.E. father. The large calyxes come from her Kush mother. Kushage buds are spade-shaped and frosty with fresh smelling resin, giving the ripe colas a spiky or jewelry-like appearance.
If flowered soon after cloning, Kushage produces a single large cola with a rock hard crown of lower buds. Kushage’s buds retain their pine fresh scent as they dry and a spicy undertone that comes out when burned. This strain’s sativa-dominant high is a great mind opener for brainstorms, conceptualizing, or creating artwork. It is less favorable when efficiency or punctuality is on the agenda. Medical patients have found this strain helpful for relieving the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
